Ubuntu Leadership: Operationalizing Belonging and Building Resilience

In today’s smaller, flatter, and multicultural world, it is imperative that we understand and embrace each other’s strengths. Long term care facilities throughout the US recognize the value of inclusive teams who are culturally competent and capitalize on effective team dynamics. To embrace the diversity your community has to offer, we must first value it in ourselves. United by Differences is a comprehensive, fun, and transformational presentation that establishes foundational communication tools by introducing concepts such as, “I am not different FROM you. I am different LIKE you.”

Audience members will:

  • Recognize and value the variety of strengths within themselves, colleagues, and residents.
  • Explore nurturing a culture that promotes empathy and genuine curiosity when embracing differences.
  • Operationalize belonging by building psychological safety and resiliency.
