This is based on a question that floated into my inbox this week. If you’re combining a folder full of CSVs but you want to retain the name of the CSV as a column, is such a thing possible in Power BI Get Data? Of course it is! Is it hard? Not if you’re lucky enough to have this video show you how it’s done.
We use some table functions on a nested table column to knock it out nice and easy; without a lot of the helper queries that come along for the ride when you use the “Combine CSV” feature.
