SHERRY PARKER (The Greenbrier Companies) – A Table of Measures

When replicating business reports in Power BI it often comes up that we need to display a group of measures in a table view.  It is not possible to simply drag a variety of measures into the table view and see them in a “list” format they same way you can in Excel.  There is, however, a trick using the DAX SWITCH function that can be utilized to achieve this goal providing your end user with the look they have requested.  She will walk through how to implement this approach for monthly reporting.

Sherry Parker is a BI Analyst with years of experience in reporting Manufacturing data, starting in Excel and moving to Power BI for the last two years.  She has worked at local manufacturing companies for the last 20 years, and is currently at The Greenbrier Companies as a BI Analyst.  The Greenbrier Companies, headquartered in Lake Oswego, Oregon, is a leading international supplier of equipment and services to the freight rail transportation markets.
