In case you missed our big news back in August…CSG Pro was acquired by our longtime partner Skypoint Cloud, an industry-leading privacy-first customer data platform for consumer and healthcare brands.
As we step into the new year, we step forward as a new brand: Skypoint Cloud Solutions Group (CSG).
We are the same data and app dev wizards you’ve always known and loved. That will never change. The main difference is that we have an additional “arrow in the quiver” to help our clients build a unified and secure view of their customers through Skypoint’s platform.
Since the acquisition happened, our team has been charting who it is we want to become and where we are heading as an organization. I want to take a moment to share some company updates and invite you to share in the exciting new adventures of Skypoint CSG.
Our New Observations in the Marketplace
An important first step in our Skypoint CSG transition was to pause and analyze the state of the market. The point of this research was to shape the direction of our organization now and into the future.
Exciting trends in the marketplace:
- A continuing need to understand how each of our client’s unique businesses operates.
- Maturation of Power Apps and Power Platform.
- Data science becoming more attainable.
- Data warehousing automation.
Future trends we’re excited about in the marketplace:
- Microsoft HoloLens.
- The Metaverse (both consumer and Microsoft’s flavor of business).
- Delivering blockchain and dApps (decentralized applications) solutions via Azure.
To better meet market demands, we’re making slight shifts in how we approach our capabilities and services here at CSG.

Maybe our development team built a custom solution for your organization in the past. Now we’ve expanded beyond development to offer strategic consulting for applications as well. Our new approach with CSG services is all about providing a complete end-to-end solution.

We believe custom solutions are what keep businesses competitive, so we bring our tech and business acumen together to achieve this. Customizing major ERPs or off-the-shelf solutions is a thing of the past.
We see the Power Platform as part of a spectrum that leads all the way to pro code. Some of the drivers of what end of the spectrum your need falls under might be:

Business Intelligence: Analytics and Managed BI
Our business intelligence and data platform services that include analytics and managed BI will be business as usual. Our BI strategists will keep working elbow-to-elbow with your team so you find your footing, get more value from data, and use BI tools as a competitive advantage.
Power BI implementation and training services will continue to be a core competency of the company. We are some of the earliest Power BI adopters on the planet. We will continue to champion this robust solution and help other organizations maximize Power BI’s capabilities.
Cloud Data Platform: Data Warehousing and Data Science
We’ve consolidated our data platform side of the business, with Power BI being the visualization tool of choice through all of our engagements.
We are increasing our focus and investment in cloud data warehousing solutions—this is a strategic growth initiative for CSG. Azure Synapse and Snowflake are our cloud data platforms of choice.
We’re also investing in growing our advanced analytics practice this year. In 2021 we successfully recruited and hired a core team with essential data engineering and data science capabilities. We will continue to invest technical expertise in Spark, Databricks, and Python to address the advanced analytics needs of our clients.
We believe a multi-cloud approach is achievable with these data platforms all underpinned by Azure or acting as the pivot point with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Strategy: Custom Applications and Cloud Data Solutions
Bringing all of CSG’s solutions together is our strategy offering. CSG helps your team set a clear vision with tangible and actionable pathways, whether you are focused on application development or the Microsoft Data Platform. We also help you decide on the tech stack that best aligns with your goals.
We introduced data strategy services to our clients last year. Because of both client and market demand, we’re excited to expand this consulting service even further to include strategic services for applications.
Our New Name, Logo, and Home Page
Since 1993, we’ve been called CSG Pro. And now, all these years later, we’re reinventing ourselves ever-so-slightly as Skypoint CSG. Although the name is a small tweak, we know that’s still a big change for many of you. When in doubt, just call us CSG.
It’s time to say farewell to the blue CSG Pro shield logo that has been with us for many, many years. In its place, you’ll see the new Skypoint Cloud logo to reflect our brand’s complete transition.
This is truly a new beginning and we’re thrilled to have you be a part of it.
