BRIAN GRANT (Skypoint CSG) – The DAX Component Method Demo
DAX is a tricky language to learn; one thing that would help new DAX authors immensely if having a mental framework both of specifically what they are supposed to be doing, and a short list of the kinds of tools they will be using to do it. The Component Method of understanding DAX breaks its essential actions down into one of four components which interact with each other in consistent ways. In this session we will demo these components and show you how they work together to answer questions in DAX. By the end you will be clued into the patterns that repeat over and over again within the construction of measures.
