We have published 200+ blogs since we first started The CSG Pro Blog back in 2012. But today is the first time in history that we are sharing a blog about our company culture.
Many of you know us as data wizards, and as such, we usually prefer to maintain a little mystery. But the real reason we’ve been keeping our culture all to ourselves is this…our culture is very important to all of us.
We are a team of self-directed workers and lifelong learners who stop at nothing to hone our expertise and learn new skills. We are client-oriented, community-oriented, and performance-oriented. We believe in transparency, autonomy, and flexibility. We work on incredibly complex projects, but we also cherish and maintain work-life balance. Above all, we have fun together.
So, why—after all these years—are we talking about our culture?

Data Wizard: Jen Memhard

I remember back in seventh grade, solving logic puzzles was my favorite thing to do. Now at CSG Pro, I get paid to solve logic puzzles and play with data all day long. For those of us who are data geeks, that’s a really fun thing to do.
Not everybody is so inclined, but we are all puzzle-solving extraordinaires. It’s really satisfying to solve these multi-faceted puzzles. We get to develop and exercise a wide range of skillsets in our daily work.
We can unleash our artistic flare when we make simple and elegant reports that convey clear business information to our end-users. We develop our people skills when we collaborate with our clients to unpack and clarify their business logic and business problems.
It’s challenging work, but CSG Pro is a super supportive environment. If I am stumped by a particular DAX problem, my colleagues are happy to jump in and help. My colleagues and I are always telling each other positive things and bolstering each other’s confidence. We work together to solve problems for our clients.
I cherish the people that I work with. It feels good to work here.
Data Wizard: Saji Bhaskaran

Of all the places I have worked, CSG Pro is by far the best. It’s a small company where everybody knows everybody. Ron is the President of the company, yet he takes the time to call me often to check in and to see if there is anything he can do to help me grow with Power Platform and the many other skills I’ve been developing.
I started working at CSG Pro right before COVID happened. I spent the first three months at the office, then we all started working from home because of the pandemic. Even while we have been working remotely during these very uncertain times, I have been trained and mentored well by my senior developers. Management has been very accessible and generous as well.
Because we are consultants for various businesses, we get to work on different projects all the time. In a single day, I get to work on a few projects and I really like that about my job.
CSG Pro is just awesome. It’s a very fun place to work and work-life balance is always being promoted. CSG Pro is a flexible work environment, so I can play tennis or go for a walk any time I feel that I need a break.
Data Wizard: Brian Grant

I’ve been blogging since 2013, which means I’ve been designing and creating instructional videos and content for quite a long time now. CSG Pro has blessed me with the opportunity to turn this passion into a career—while also putting me front and center in our data community so I can keep developing my skills as a public speaker.
Really, I get to do what I love for a living…it’s hard to beat that.
At CSG Pro, it’s like working with puzzles where every single puzzle is a different industry or a different business. While putting together these puzzle pieces, you’ll find out how all these different businesses work and how they think.
Because we don’t just work in one industry, you’re always discovering more and more about how data specifically flows and interacts to make the world around you function. After working here for a couple of years, the data that permeates our lives slowly becomes visible and almost tangible to us. It really is incredible.
The best part about working at CSG Pro though is the people. The folks here are absolutely passionate about the technology and their work. They’re kind, they’re caring, they’re really smart, and they’re absolutely a joy to work with. CSG Pro seems less like a business and almost more like a club of like-minded people who love what they do.
Data Wizard: Dan Pisarcik
Official Title: App Dev Lead

“Everybody here is just as passionate about their work as they are about their passions outside of work. I’ve never had work-life balance like this before…it’s absolutely wonderful here.”
I am constantly learning and growing here at CSG Pro. Every client comes from a different place. We build systems to support all these clients and we get to learn new technologies all the time. The variety is very exciting and it keeps your skills fresh. If you’re a person who always needs to learn, it’s a guarantee that you’re going to get that here.
I’ve worked in other company cultures where it’s super fast-paced and sales kind of dictates everything you do. Here, the culture is a very symbiotic relationship. The whole team is always monitoring each other to say:
Hey, are we ready to handle more?
Are we ready to take on the next client?
That sort of relationship keeps us always working with the energy we’ve got and not pushing anyone beyond that. Without sounding like every other company, it really is a family culture and everyone’s got your back. I feel free to speak up and be myself, and there’s still time at the end of the day to go home and do what I want to do.
I’ve never had work-life balance like this before…it’s absolutely wonderful here. Outside of work, I moonlight as a musician and I didn’t have much time for music at previous companies. Given the nature of our business as consultants, we have specific hours set aside to serve our clients. That sort of predictability really supports us in that we have free time in our lives outside of work.
Everybody here is just as passionate about their work as they are about their passions outside of work. That’s a big plus that keeps me here. It’s a very liberating experience to work in a group as good as CSG Pro. So if you have a passion or interest that you want to make sure you have time for, that’s a very real and feasible thing in this culture at CSG Pro.
